new bow

Just finished a new bow. It is a 64" hickory backed jatoba with paduk tips. My scale is broken but i am guessing 65 lbs @ 26". 1 3/4 with gradual taper to 1/2. Tung oil finish. I played around with the tiller for a while, and it still looks off (or it was one to many cold ones). Pulls even in my hand and shoots hard. Goes right back to about 1" of reflex. The more I look at the full draw shot the worse it gets! Maybe one of you guys with that program that draws the eclipse could draw it on the shot? Thanks

No worries about the tiller. It's never going to be the arc of a circle when it started with that reflex and a stiff handle but it looks fine to me. Different bows have different shape tiller.
If one of my English Longbows was that shape I'd be worried, but it looks fine for the style of bow you've built.
I think you are just suffering from bowyers eye

Good looking bow. I agree with Del, the tiller is fine for your profile.

I agree with Del. I too sometimes suffer from "bowyers eye". That bow looks great. Oh a little hear and there maybe but from the looks of the way its holding the reflex, I say you gotter nailed. Danny

She's a beauty! How did you like working with Jatoba? It's one of the heavier tropical woods I can get at my Woodcraft and I've been interested in making a hickory backed jatoba bow for a while now.

Thank you for your compliments. Looking at it today, it does look better than it did last night.
Matt/ it is a heavy wood and you can feel it, make sure your blades are sharp. It tough stuff. I do want to try a narrower style with this wood.
