Plain osage ELB
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:31:50 pm »
I have been working on a couple of ELB's for a friend who wants period bows with no frills - just my bowyers mark at the arrow pass. This piece of osage came from Timo at MOJam in a thin stave (not enough for handle) that looked to have two side by side ELB's in it to me. Ripped it lengthwise on the band saw and this is the first one. 70" ntn 50# @ 28" beeswax finish arc tiller. It shoots very well. Amazing how little osage it takes to make such a bow. It is about 7/8" x 3/4" in the handle.

Another great thing about osage. It doesnt take much at all to make a bow. Nice tiller Shaun.

That tiller is "MONEY". Way to go Shaun.
