Pics of takedown sleeve handles ???
« on: June 25, 2007, 03:19:33 pm »
Can anyone post pics of bows you've done with a takedown sleeve?  I have a couple of billet sets and I'm contemplating using a takedown sleeve instead of splicing the billets.  I have seen a laminated bow a buddy of mine has, and the handle is too bulky.  I noticed 3 Rivers and the like sell two different sizes, so I'd assume I'd use the smaller one.

There was a article in pa a few years ago on how to make your own takedown sleeve. Not sure what issue. But I tried the process and it worked great, it involves wrapping the handle with automotive type fiberglass cloth set in 2 ton epoxy.
