glue question, helping a friend

Hi all,
Pay no attention to those non primitive limbs behind the curtain! 
Actually, a friend brought me this bow, to see if repair was possible.  It's second hand, only about a 35#er, and he said it broke while he was doing a normal push pull stringing.  The all solid wood and veneer riser seems to have failed cleanly along one of the laminations, causing some damage to the cosmetic lamination on one end, near the start of the limb, but still in the riser. 
It looks glue-able to me, but I thought it best to consult the Wise Ones.  I've used TB III and Smooth On, either of these a good candidate?

 That used to be a pretty Bear. What is it, a '64? I'd try Urac, clamp it tight, and run a bolt or something threaded in to the insert in the front. Or if you can, take the insert out and put a wooden plug in the hole instead.

Thanks Pat!  I'd forgotten about the Campfire section (been gone for awhile, unfortunately)  .
Mullet, That sounds good, by the way, what would that threaded insert have been used for, anyway?  I've only ever shot a bow anything like this once before, and it didn't have anything like that on it.  Just curious.

  I once reglued one up that seperated in the same way. I drilled a glued in 2 wooden dollows in each end epoxyed and clamped. It was 45 #'s the guy had it for a couple years befor he traded it. Looked good after I refinished it you could'nt tell.

Those inserts were used for stabilizers or to screw in Bowfishing reels. I saw a boy in Ga. screw in a flashlight .

By brother made a mount and hung his videocam off the stabilizer.  I loved it.  We got to see deer missed about every way possible.

I agree, I would drill some shallow holes in each side that matched up (which is challenging in my experience) and put a short dowel in them to get an even better glue joint.  I would use a good epoxy, Smooth-on EA40 is perfect.

It's a new one on me.  It says "Wing", and I don't know how clear this photo will come across, but the limb says "Division of Head Ski Co., Inc."
Makes sense, I guess, I suppose the jump from glass skis to glass limbs isn't that big?

 Yea, but that was made after they sold out Head Ski, I think in the 70's.

I like Smooth on for that repair. It should be good to go.
