When your bow lifted the splinter, the Gods of HogHunters decried "The pigs shall wait!  But We shall not leave him to twist in the wind...a ram shall he have.  So mote it be!"

Man, you came soooo close to becoming PlasticBowPigHunter!   >:D
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Nice Ram! Hogs are overated. ;) What kind of bow is that? Looks like a Bear in the grip area.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Like they said a kill with a bow is a commendable feat.  Hogs, not around.....so?  Rams, cool!
At least you gave fair chase, and didn't have to go trudging back to the family, dragging your bow, and your head hanging down, and not so much as a WWWabbit, to show for a days hunt. ;) :o
Nice Ram! Too bad you couldn't of gone back to the spot where you gutted it, and see if there were any hog signs. ;)

@Mullet: You nailed it! It's a 1971 Bear Kodiak52". It was a hand-me-down gift from my wife's uncle and is small enough that it makes an easy back-up bow to bring along when traveling.
