Chris,I did have another friend that was doing a demo with field points in front of about 2 thousand people. The arrow went through his hand ,he closed his fist around it,bowed and walked off before anybody saw any blood dripping. Now that takes cahones.

Dang guys don't you know the secrets. Make a really inefficient bow out of something like willow.  Use a 800 grain arrow.  If the arrow gets to you, it ought to be going about 4 fps and real easy to catch.  If it smacks you in the chest, it ought to bounce off nicely.   ;D Justin

Justin, now that you said that.Another buddy at a karate cook out with lots of liquid refreshments got so frustrated not being able to hold on ;Let the blunt tip arrow hit him in the chest and then caught it on the bounce. ::) I used to let it hit the forarm and then grab it before it fell.Cades bow had the arrow in the picture really moving and I didn't feel like any pain that early in the morning. ;)The feathers were burning little white streaks across my hand as I tried to grab it.
But being serious, stand down range while somebody you trust shoots at a target and you will be surprised at the way an arrow flies.Low fletching and field points are really hauling butt.I've only tried catching them with flu-flu's and blunts.Except once with a compound set about 55# and regular fletching. That was a big mistake.Lots of bruises.

Well this is my first "real" good day out of surgery.  :D  I was really so sad   :'(  I had to leave Saturday night. Sunday was prep day and could not be avoided. Missed meeting Allen and seeing some of the "action" shots. That photo of Cody trying to drill a hole in the coconut (Almost my knee) is really funny. I was on a very strict diet the week before but the food we had was on it. Thank god. Things are looking good, I feel good, had a great time and as Pappy says, Life is good.   ;D

Thank you all for the nice comments. Its funny how just a few days with nice people can energise you for weeks, months. Hillbilly, I'll bring a "bag" of pineapple back for you after Thanksgiving. Even deliver it as I have to pick up some "stuff" from Pats. We usually spend the week with my son down there in Florida.  I love raw pineapple. BTW Eddie, Thanks for the point----- again.
