47" n2n EBO By Accident
« on: June 16, 2011, 01:25:54 pm »
Made this Elm backed Osage by accident It's 47" n2n and was supposed to be 56" n2n :-\ (Messure twice cut once) In this case I should have messured 3 or 4 times :-[ Wish I had a place to messure the cast, because this thing shoots hard :o Like I said it's 47" n2n 42@26 bend thru handle. 3" handle. 11/2" fades. 1 3/8 at fades tapering to 1/2" at tips with pin nocks. Started with 1" of reflex and ended with 1/4" set. Dressed it up with some beads, a turkey feather, tan suede lace wrap and a floppy rest. Hope ya enjoy.

That is a neat little bugger, nice arc.

Don't feel bad, it's a great looking bow (I cut a nock in at the opposite angle this morning so you are not alone  ::))

Love the arc!

Thanks y'all for the nice comments. I like to have had a stroke when I looked down and saw (no pun intended) ;D, the mistake I made :o  Got a Bamboo backed Black Ash glued up with a slight R/D glued in I'm going to start next. I MADE SURE I got this one the right length ;D

That's no accident. Looks like you listened to the wood and made it into what it wanted to be by that nice bend you got there on her  ;)

Wow, that's some great tiller on that... I just love that almost a semicircle look.
Sweet little bow.
I hate the term 'expert', but if you gotta have a definition mine is 'The man who can put right his own mistakes'.
And I reckon you certainly put right your missmeasurement.
