My new bamboo arrows
« on: June 09, 2011, 06:14:48 pm »
Hi there!
Afte finishing my latest longbow I went 3D shooting with a friend of mine.
Unfortunately I'm not quite in training for that so I only had 1 of my 6 arrows in one piece back home  ;D
So I started to make some bamboo arrows and this is what they look like:

They are not totally strait, but sure don't seem to care.
I hope you enjoy them  :)

Thank you  :)
The tips are called T-tips. I got them from a german shop (I live in Denmark).
This is what they look like:

BTW The bindings are sinew glued with a mix of hideglue an fishglue.

Those points look perfect for cane arrows.  Wish they were available on this side of the pond.

And they look weight adjustable :)

Nice arrows.
I've come to the conclusion that an arrow does not need to be perfectly straight to work just fine. As long as they wiggle in a straight line they work fine!
I must try those T-tips. Some with the straight tang look perfect for bamboo.
