Got a tube
« on: June 07, 2011, 10:11:49 pm »
I got a tube in the mail today. Upon cranking the lid off one end a cloth bag appeared. Opening the bag I found my trade bow. Pat B sent me a Black Locust eastern woodland self bow. It is 62" with side nocks and a cane wrapped handle. The bow's belly has been heat treated and the Vietnam service ribbon markings are painted on the limbs. Sixty two pounds at 28 inches snaps a arrow right quick. I am really happy with this stick. Thanks, Pat
I'll get some photos to post soon.

Rodger, I was hoping it wasn't to heavy for you. I knew it was a bit heavier than you wanted. If need be you can reduce the weight to be more to your liking.
I'm glad you like the bow and the design on the back.  8)  In case you haven't heard it lately, thanks for your service to our country. I salute you!

Finally got my camera out and took these shots of this really nice stick. You can see the nicely toasted belly and the fur silencers. The bow is well balanced, both physically and visually.  Thanks again Pat.

I'm glad you like her Rodger.  I think she likes heavy arrows. She was pushing my 650gr cane arrows pretty well.
Enjoy!  ;)
