one fletch arrow

i seen some one on here did a one fletch arrow with river cain...do you guys think it could be done with wild rose or red osier...i am kind of up in the air on this because cain is hollow and the other shaft material  isn't...the other question is that i think i would have to smash the quill down...i will have to try it...john

I think you can do a 1 feather fletch with pretty much anything you just need to split it and stick the feather inside then wrap. It would be a good idea to smash it so it will be flat enough to close. Im sure someone here has done it. Good luck
