i think you need to work on getting them a little thinner and more symetrical
that is a joke
seriously,that is a sweet looking point.
your right,them barbs are a bugger when you first attempt them style of points.
but they get easier and easier as you make them more often
now go put that on the end of stick and poke something with it untill its dead
