Oregon turkey hunters?
« on: March 22, 2011, 06:30:11 pm »
Any Oregon turkey hunters out there who would be willing to help a newbie out? I'm pretty handy at making bows and would be happy to trade some of my time in return.

I actually get out to Minnesota about every other year to visit my in-laws and after I settle in, I'm invariably looking for something to do...

what time of year do you get over here?
we have a spring and fall turkey season
our non resident license are resonable compared to most states
we have a lottery system for both, but there are always surplus tags
more in the fall than spring
but spring you can buy a bow tag which is good for the last two weeks of regular gun season

Usually in the summer, so turkey hunting is out. Which is a shame because my in-laws have 40 acres out in the country and there are always turkey on their property.
