Don't really know...have a hard enough time trying to accurately shoot a bow in the 50-60# range! :)

You have a lot of bow making talent for your age. ;)

I'm with Greg. 50# to 60# is plenty enough for me.
You saw my full draw on the 95# Yew War Bow I built! :o    Pat

I attempted to draw Joe Gibs monsterbow 170#, I got it at some 28´´, but then it stopped like if there was a chain drawn between string and grip. Joe then told me that he made it deliberatelly to stack 40# in last 3´´.  ;D

I have tried those heavy bows and always end up hurting the next day. I hear there is tecnique but when I draw one all I feel is a lack of strength! Steve

I have pulled 90#, and could probably manage more.  But I make all my bows at about 60# because I think it is silly to build anything heavier than that.  If you are building warbows, its a little different.  I have considered building a gator bow that would be heavier. I have also considered building one a little heavier to hunt Cape Buffalo.   ;D Justin

At 15 I manage to get back about 85#. The bow was a little funny (it was made with two smaller bows, a 55# and a 30# bound together), so I don't know how I would do on a real 85# :o!

I pulled an 85#wheely bow to full draw then something popped in my shoulder. It never has been the same.
Justin, you don't need a heavy bow for gators.A hammer works just fine ;)

I've only pulled about 60#, but I havn't gotten a chance to pull any higher, I havn't even held a bow that has a higher poundage :'(.
I'm sure I could pull a good bit, as I can shoot 50# just fine, so I might be able to manage about 80#.....maybe? Honestly, I have no idea.

You know the real reason why warbow shooters launch arrows for distance?  The dang bows are so heavy weight they have to point them in the sky to get them drawn like a compound shooter.  ;D Then they cant hold them long enough to get them down on target to shoot flat, so they lob arrows.  ;D ;D  OK now that I made my joke about the warbow guys, I better stop. JD's next bow might reach me from his house.   Justin
