starting to get it also!
« on: December 31, 2010, 09:22:05 pm »
Here are two points I made over the last two days broke 5 before I was about to make these. Why do they always break at the very end of the process! the one on the left was the last one. I was very happy with this one because if you look at the tail I was able to raise the platform and knock a flake down the stone. I am also happy with this one one because I have very few steps or hinges on it (maybe one or two). Not the best looking points but one is 98 grains and the other is 105. jthompson made this possible with the tools he sent me so thanks agian.

Looks good. Workable points. (Maybe you gonna have to cook some of your rock). I like the type your turning out. The more rubble you make, the better they'll get.

OK so is it the case when you start with a stone that the whole stone is to be considered a bi-face in process. With this new mind set i have revisited pieces I through away in a pile and now I can work them. I think I am seeing some of my old junk as workable material now. Did you guys kinda go through that phase?

I think you should put it on the tip of an arrow and stick something with it. Looks really good.
