Some guys just don't know...
« on: November 16, 2010, 02:44:05 pm »
I dont know where to post this but I thought you guys might get a kick out of it. My wife just called me at work and told me that my four year old son was looking through my new 3 Rivers catalog and looked up at her and said,
"Mommy some guys just don't know how to shoot REAL bows so they have to buy them, probably at Walmart and they have wheels on them."
I am still laughing.

I hereby nominate Commodore as "Father of the Year".
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

My 4 yr old took a 3rivers catalog for show and tell.  It was such a hit that some of the boys got in troulbe cuz they wouldn't put it down.  There's hope for the younger generation yet.

sulphur, I love it! Not because he's zinging compounds and compounders (well ya I guess that too) but because the boy has such a quick wit. Good stuff. Jawge

My wife and I are expecting our third in April and since she is really wanting to sleep in in the mornings, she likes the house quiet so I've taken to heading out to the shop with Caedmon at 6:30 every morning and he immediately grabs one of his bows and heads out shooting whatever. He also likes scraping wood although it only lasts a few minutes till he's tired of it. He's bitten by the bug all I need to do is guide him a little bit.
It is fun!

Ahhhh yes, from the mouths of babes comes the words of Prophets....... ;D  Kid has it down! ;)
Help him scrape a bow for himself, a little at a time, and then once he has a bow he made, I think the scraping will last a little longer...... ;)  Just keep an eye on yours, and your neighbors, hedges, and trees...... :) ;D

I have two boys and while in the archery section at cabelas in post falls my oldest (8) loudly exclaims.  "look at all the sissy bows!"  A lot of heads snapped around, man I love that boy!

Got to love that! You are bringing 'em up right Granite Mtn.
I've been in that Post Falls Cabelas. I was up there a year ago at a ministers convention at Real Life in Post falls. It's a beautiful town!
