Try this: When you pour your lead in your cap, after it turns solid, take a 1/4 or 3/8 bolt, put the cap on a concrete floor. Now use the bolt as a punch in the center of the lead, smack it sharply with a hammer. This will leave the impression of the bolt in the lead. It expands the lead so it fits tightly in the copper cap. Next, drop about 3/8 of a flexable hot glue stick on the lead. When it melts, stick the handle in and give it a complete twist. Set it aside copper end down to cool. I stick mine in the dirt. A pair of channel lock pliers helps heeps. Keep an eye on the hot bopper. Sometimes, if the lead is real hot, it will cause the hotmelt to bubble and it will push the handle out. Do I need to say, prefit your caps to the handle before you put lead in them? Bill
