Thanks, everyone, for all of the nice words.  Hatch, you may use CRS all you want.  It sort of means, "Can't Remember 'Stuff'"  The backing does not affect the performance of the bow. It is just decoration or camouflage, but I feel that it is strong medicine.  Any time you can use something else off an animal you have harvested, I think you bring honor to it and yourself.  Granted, I used modern glue, but I believe that hide glue might work very well to stick the feathers down.  But if it rains. . .

Thanks again, everyone.  I really appreciate it.  SailorDad,  I don't think I am going to sell it.  It is left-handed and I usually keep all of my left-handed bows to use for hunting and tournaments.  I am sure your knives are beautiful, however, and it is a compliment that you offered them in trade.  I will be looking for them on the Flintknapping forum.

i have to say that turkey hunting is a big part of people back east...BUT,its also big out here in Oregon..and i have to say from one turkey hunter to anther that is a wonderful bow and that idea is just a mind blower..GREAT JOB...john
