Osage Recurve
« on: May 27, 2010, 03:32:21 pm »
I finished up an osage recurve a couple of weeks ago.  It's 67" ntn, pulls 46#@29", has 2" of reflex (at rest), has wenge tip overlays, a floppy rest, curves bent with dry heat, and is 1 1/4" at the fades tapering to 1/2" at the tips.  Here's some pics of the process:

After some straightening:

"Walk softly, and carry a bent stick."

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him."  Col. 3:17

And the last of them:

Full draw picture take just before applying the finish, handle, etc.:
