Copperhead Bow
« on: March 30, 2010, 10:32:29 pm »
Here's my latest bow...It's a highly r/d blank from Knightd, it's 60" oal, 58" ntn and 55# @ 27". It's bamboo backed Ipe, the handle is hickory, shadua, marblewood and ipe. The limb tip overlays are macarta. THe bow is backed with a Copperhead skin that was given to me by David. The finish is 4 coats of Tru-oil, 3 of poly and 2 of paste wax. The string is a 10 strand of 8125 with padded loops. hope ya'll like it....

Copperheads are always my favoret.Nice bow,the skin's on the bottom limb and from younger snakes. They don't start fadeing here in WV untill there about 4 or 5 years old.Younger always have clearer makings.
