Take down sleeve removal?

So I just had a take down bow I made break so I was wondering If you guys had any advice for removing the sleeves. I glued them with epoxy.

If you freeze them the epoxy will pop off. I accidently epoxied my take-down sleeves together. I sprayed them with nitrogen and the epoxy crumbled. I didn't want to cut or heat the bow, I had rawhide on it and it was finished.

Where do you get nitrogen? I don't have a problem heating it either if that will work.

Heating epoxy will release it. The manufacturer will be able to tell the temp.

I have heated one to get it off.It took some time when I put it on another bow to get it to
work smooth, Had to sand and just kept working with it but it worked out.Them things are pretty
fragile till they are glued up. Never tried freezing one.I did have to heat it till the brass was kind of blue.I have one now I need to get off just haven't got around to it yet.

Try not to over heat the brass as it will soften and become very bendy.

I took one off a broken Vincent Minor bow a few days ago. I used heat and pretty much had to burn the wood away under the sleeve to get it to turn loose, it wasn't glued on with any kind of epoxy I was familiar with.

Simple, trim off excess wood, pop the sleeves with the remaining wood in a pan of water and boil! The epoxy breaks down as the water boils. The only stuff this method does not work with is very expensive high temp epoxy, even this will succumb to water torture after a few hours!
