Pump drill

I just made one with a bamboo shaft and ash flywheel. Will this work for a fire drill? The drill bit is my first atempt at knapping. Ill get pics up later. should have taken some before i used it and wore down the point

Yep, I've seen the pump drill used for friction fire with a small piece of horseweed as the bit.

pump drills work great for both fire and drilling through materials, even stone.
