It was a great time this weekend at Pappy's. I managed to get my piece of Hickory tillered and shot for the first time. Pappy took the first shot which was fitting since he had saved this stave since 5/23/03. I also worked on my sons hickory stave and got it tillered out to 18". Pappy would not let me give him the snake skins and I wouldn't let him pay me so he CHEATED he walked away and came back with some yellar wood knowing I couldn't refuse. Saturday CastIron made a superb lunch and dinner, I think he missed his calling and could have made a greal living as a chef. Life is Good and has improved since Pappy started letting me share his world........Ron

Had a good day,got some tweeking done on the first sister bow,it had a couple of humps in the inner 1/3 of both limbs I wanted to get out to make it a little easier to see the tiller and
managed to do that.I got the second one floor tillerer and sealed,it is now ready to steam and straighten.Plan on doing that Friday night.Got Grants[castiron] long Osage floor tillered and
straightened and some reflex put in,it is now ready to start tillering. Also got some Buffalo
tips glued on my B.L. bow, just need to work them down and cut in the nocks.Done a little
cooking of course, man has got to eat. ;D ;D Got all my yard work caught up so the weekend will be free.We have a club meeting and working Sat.so I don't know how much I will get done but plan on tillering the first sister bow,got the nocks cut in and the tillering string on and ready for the tiller stick. All in all had a great day Hope yall had the same. :)

Yes it is,and Mike I do dress up every now and then. It's Friday again and we have a big one
planed,We have a lot to do at the club to get ready for our shoot next Sunday. But I plan to
finish my B.L. bow and steam the 2nd sister and straighten it and tiller my 1st sister.Don't
know if I will get it all done but going to try.Put the tips on the BL bow last night so all it needs is sealed and a grip and maybe just a little tweeking on the tiller since I still have 3/4 lbs. to give
other wise I would leave it be.Can't wait it should be another fun weekend.Wished yall were
there.Pictures Monday. :)I also am going to give Allison her bow this Sat.and have some more kids that I have made bows for coming down so I can get some pictures of them shooting,We have a lot of kids in our club and we try hard to keep the having fun,They are our future and we understand that and try and keep them interested. :)
