I know Shanon.. I'm going to take a pry bar with me tomarrow and pock around in the soft ground and see if i find any submerged in the dirt. I'm hoping to come home with as much as my silverado will carry!
I am amazed how solid this stuff is.. i spelled up two nodules and there were no cracks!! i am not going to spall any more of the big ones i am going to sell or trade them whole because they really need to me cut.
I'll keep you posted on how i do tomarrow.

That kinda looks like a flood plain out behind a dam or something?
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

Jesse:

Those dudes with the beards often own large tracks of land.
And they know their land very well.  Most are nice folks.
You should approach some of them about looking for rock on their land.
Make a few heads to give them so they will understand what you are looking for.
