Looking good, should make a nice bow. The only dogwood stave I've fooled with so far responded well to heat treatment-you can heat treat the belly and add some reflex at the same time.

ok, well i got it to brace height at 5" and i think it looks good. did'nt pull it ant yet cause i want to heat the bottom after i se how muck of the string follow comes out. the string is lined up  right over the handle and right after unbraceing

wow knapp... looking great so far.  Be sure to give it time to re-hydrate after heat treating it before bending it again.  This one is turning out really nice! -josh  :)

thank you josh and i'll give it a day when i'm done.  heres the heating and and a little bending at the fades.  i left the bottom unheate till  remove the bow so i can add a different caul and bring the limbs on around and flip the tips.

...I'd give it 3 or 4 days just to be safe... You've put alot of work into this just to have it splinter from being too dry...  Looks cool!  -josh  :)

Going down the line of pictures I was going to mention how I love the knots and texture on the back...but then I got to the tape measure.  That tape measure is my favorite part of this whole project.  You should include the tape measure in every picture you take...just for kicks.  It's awesome.  Not kidding.

The bow is pretty slick, too.  I like the style...can't wait to see pics of how the tempering took on the tree...with the tape measure, of course.
