I have some elm, cut in Southern Indiana. It has red heartwood that has quite a smell to it. Is this what they call P*** Elm? If so, what are American, Slippery, and Red Elm?

It could be winged elm. It has a small dark red heart. I think all of it smells bad.

Slippery Elm and Red Elm is the same tree
American Elm is also called White Elm or Soft Elm and it has the same color all the way through to the heartwood.

Your elm is likely slippery /red elm. It has a reddish heartwood and is common in your area. American elm is commonly called "piss elm", as is Chinese or Siberian elm.
