first time to hunt with a bow/recurve

well tomorrow is opening of the bow season here in Texas i hope i get to kill my first deer with a bow :) i have hunted with a compound before but never got to kill a deer with it. wish me luck and i will keep yall posted :) i will be using my recurve at 58#/28" ttyl

well hell yea glad to hear it, you will n-joy it. ive killed good bucks with my wheel bow, i give that up 4 years ago and my best kills are with my trad bows even does. so much good to simple things.
a drawn bow is a stick 9/10 broken

thanx guys but today was cut short by the thunderstorms:( but it still was fun and good i did see a doe just before daylight but she was in a hurry heading somewhere and would not stop to smell the roses lol maybe this evening if it stops poring cats and dogs. i am on no rush i have all season :)

Good luck eh, this is my 3rd year with a selfbow and no kill yet but thats ok I'm patient :)
Just came in myself and its also raining up here :( Forcast is for rain everyday for a week >:(
Oh well eh, I'm heading back out in a couple of hours :)

well this afternoon she came back walking got within about 15 of my shooting area and turned around i will give them a week to get use to the blind that i made from some dead tree limbs and a small popup blind maybe tomarrow morning will be better luck but today was great :)

well this morning i saw a buck,doe,yearling that were about 100 yards out had to cut it short my friends son is getting baptized today :). ttyl

heck yeah this evening was a flop my good and drunk neighbor decided to have a very loud drinking party and i think the radio scared the deer back abit lol ohh well they will be back tomarrow when he is at work :) its amazing how sound travels he is about a 1/8 mile away and it sounded like i was infront of the radio lol

 It will happen, the trick is to put as much time in as you are able.. and remember to pick a spot on the deer to shoot at when you release the arrow.. Hawk
