A search on "lost lake arrowheads" in google turns up some reasonable pictures.

Some additional details per the Joel D. Justice and Overstreet books.

• is a member of the Thebes Cluster, which also includes the St. Charles and Calf Creek forms
• 8000 to 6000 BC
• medium to large sized corner-notched point
• broadly triangular, with edge curving inward (incurvate) to curving outward (excurvate)
• much shape variability due to resharpening
• 2" to 4" long,
• 1-1/4" to 2" wide
• materials include wyandotte chert, coastal plains chert, sonora flint and dover chert
• biconvex in pristine condition, but normally each face has just one edge (e.g. left edge) that is beveled resulting in an overall flat rhomboid cross section, and most beveled edges show a nice serration pattern
• Justice comments on a deep corner notch that usually curves in and up

I hope the Point of the Month keeps going.  Seeing the different blades keeps me trying.  Also if ya pick an easy enough one I might be able to chip one out.

Rick,  You can do a lost lake. i mean a fancy on with deep notches is Tough.
But there only 3'' long and if you remember the bolin bevel we did, you bevel a lost lake the same way. only difference in a bolin bevel and a lost lake is a lost lake is corner notched and a bolin bevel is side notched and most of your lost lake points have concave sides.

Here's my first effort at a Lost Lake point.  I broke the tang off on the first notch but went ahead and notched the other side and then glued it back on, more or less where it was.  I was attempting to copy the lower right point on page 451 in Overstreet, 7th edition.  Dimensions are 3 1/4 X 2 1/4 X 1/4.  Made from a spall.  Obsidian wouldn't be authentic, but it's what I have right now.

I was gonna ask for pictures, but now I see what The point is suppose to look like. I will see what I can knockout and post results if they survive.
I am not real sure on all the different point styles. I have been mostly making points from my area lately. NC

Sounds like a good one to try.Just drove from the Flint Ridge to central Vermont.I dug out some rock and tools out of the truck and can't wait to get started.It's a little chilly for this Fla boy but mid 70's today so I will survive.
