The New Guys don't know that the Questions that they are fixing to ask....are old stuff....they are new questions to them at the Time....so I have to bite my tongue...(and thats hard for a Damned Yooper....believe Me)..... just remember that I was the One asking the old Questions a half dozen years ago myself.... ::)

Like they always tell You....there ain't no Stupid Questions.....just retarded answers.....or is that Me that always says that......... >:D

And by the way Cody....keep asking questions....the only way you will get the right answers.....and We all love giving answers and advice........ ;)

Cody....just play it cool with the Ferriers Rasp...they are way sharp!! The best Ferriers Rasp is a Used One....if you know anyone that has Horses...ask them Who Shoes their Horses....and try to talk them out of a Used One....much easier to control the wood hogging!! A Ferriers rasp is the only Rasp I use

been doing this bow building for just ablout 2 years now, never bought  #49 or #50,everybody says youll need one
never found the need my self

i use what works for me. just cause others got money to burn and like to buy the "tool ya just gotta have".
doesnt actually mean it is gonna be the best or right tool for you.
ya just need to find what you like to use and what works well for you.

Been doing it for 7 years myself and never had need for a #49 or #50 either. I can do everything I need with a farriers rasp. I use mine from roughing out a stave to some tillering.  I have even used the corner of mine to start the string groves, giving the round chainsaw file something to follow so it doesn't dance around all over the limb.
