Pat-  Sorry to hear of your friends passing on.  That is one beautiful bow and a great way to remember him.  I really like the cherry bark backing, Nice job.

Pat, building a bow like that for a friend is outstanding... to keep on building the bow after he was gone to the happy hunting grounds is nothing more than HONORABLE... A/ho brother... well done!!!!! I am sure your friend is looking down and saying I wish I could shoot her.. Looks like a BOM to me for sure.. HAWK
IT IS BETTER TO LOSE WITH HONOR. THAN TO WIN THROUGH DECEPTION...
