Nice job! I like that grip and I haven't seen one done that way before. Very good looking bow.

OK, that is by far the PRETTIEST tiller i have seen here yet.  Those curves are just "sexy", no other way to say it.  Nice work overall, great handle and tip facings.  At this length I am guessing it pulls and shoots smooth.  I think many of us are striving to make bows like this.

Tell us what glue you applied the Hickory with?  Thickness of the backing?  Thickness of the bow near the fades and at the tips before the facings?

How much has it been shot?  Length of arrows?

thanks for sharing your work with us.  Piper

Beautiful bow, been staying away from reflex a lot more myself lately, I love the way they shoot. Steve

Very nice bow!  As the others said, perfect tiller and I like the way you did the handle.  Looks great.

Thank you all very much for your friendly comments.
I think I'm going red

To answer a few questions:

The glue I used is Bindan Propellerleim, a german one. I think it corresponds to your Tidebond III.

The thickness of the backing is 15/64'' (6mm) over the whole length. This is one thing I would change, if I would repeat it -  thinner hickorybacking (about 4mm).
Or a bamboobacking and a little perry-reflex, if your hunting after higher performance.

The thickness of the bow near the fades is 3/4'' (19mm) and 7/16'' (11mm) at the tips.

Me and two friends shot the bow several times during the final stage of the tillering, including cloud shooting - I guess it is shot about 300 times altogether.

The length of my arrows is about 31 1/2'' (80cm) (My personally draw-length is about 27'' but I prefer a little longer arrows. I have no special arrows for every bow, but several sets of arrows with different spine. And most of the time I uses bamboo-arrows. The spine isn't as importend as the weight if using bamboo.)

Very nice bow. I love the color contrast and the detail work on the tips is great. The handle wrap really makes that a very fine looking bow. Congratulations.   Keenan

You rule on the handle on this one 8). Not to mention the fine wood craft everywhere else. This will be quite the entry for February Laminate Bows of the Month.
