Wade, Wade, Wade, tsk. tsk. Now I'm not gonna send you that 12" Cumberland that I was just boxing up....;D Plus, there's more than one way to skin a cat ;) Phillip, that's not really a particular named type, just a standard generic side-notched point. I like those for hunting.

Phillip, those small arrowhead sized ones are mostly pressure flaked from a small flake or spall; a little percussion at the beginning of the thinning process if you have a thick flake or a tough type of rock. Larger points are usually done with mostly percussion, with a little pressure to touch up the edges. That one actually may have been pressure flaked from a small slab, don't remember for sure.

I'll stand up for ya Steve - don't see any steps or stacks on that puppy ;). That's the same generic type I like to hunt with - now if I could just hit something. Maybe you could give me some pointers ;D.

Yeah, if you ain't getting ribbed around here, you ain't liked.  Steve is liked a lot as you can tell.  Nice point Steve.   ;D

Paul:  I had the worst hunting season ever this year.  I didn't get to hunt like I wanted, but when I did get out, I didn't even see any deer, so my points didn't even see the dirt.   ::)

So far, I haven't found any Osage or knappable rock over here.  Embrace the suck

Sorry, what I meant is it's hard to believe some people in my Town that I ask about Bowering and Knapping cause I never get to see what they are talkin about and they don't do what they say they are gonna do. You folk are pretty dependable and I'm always talking about how great of work you all do. :)
