Misc knapping

A couple I made yesterday. Perd tomohawk head, and novaculite big point of some sort ;D.

Great job there,I guess everything IS bigger in Texas!Are you going to put a handle on that tommy-hawk? If so lets see it.Did you run flakes from both sides to create the channel?Keep up the good work,I'll be lookin for more to come.

Thanks ya'll ;D. The novaculite is about a quarter inch thick D, I bashed on it with wreckless abandon and somehow it survived - was showing dad how to knap again ::). No slabs here, just cooked rocks. I ran a channel as best I could from both ends on both sides Roger, thinned her down some for the handle. I am going to put a handle on the hawk, and their will be pictures :).

Those are sweet, Paul-I bet that raw perd makes a good axe, tough stuff. That novac point is awesome, need to make you a big spear and put that sucker on it. :)

Thanks Hawk, Steve, Rick! I was just explaining and showing technique to dad, the size was getting what I could out of that rock :).
