You are better off buying a motor and blade and making one. Saws that will cut the hard material, like Flint, coral etc, are not cheap. The oil bath saw's are what you want if you buy one.

What I use is a big 10" brick saw. I buy blades from HomeDepot for $70. I can blaze through Obsidean and softer rock. Heat treated coral cuts real good. But if you want to cut raw coral, chert, and flint I would recomend an oil bath. Maybe Brian Melton will chime in, he has several saws.

Knap,

I have a 4, 14, 18, inch oil bath saws they are great, but not cheap!!! The advantage to a commercial saw is they are self feeding and slow!!!! If you try to force a rock through you will glaze your blade, possibly ruin it. If you make your own saw you will have to be very patient.
