very nice atlatl. have you tried making one with only primitive tools, no drills or saws? Knives are widely accepted as primitive tools.

i could have carved out the socket but for the vid i just used the drill.
most everything i make is with minimal hand tools even my bows.

small SHARP hatchet,scraper,rasp and knife.

thassit,no bandsaws,or sanders,or anything else like that and i usulay make my own adhesives and glues.

so you use pine pitch or hide glue?
