Would a huge hickory stave that is absolutely perfect hold 150 lbs. of draw?
-
Yeah i think it is possible. I'm pretty sure someone has a 250lbs bow from hickory just can't remember who.
Are you going to try make this 150lbs bow then?
-
I think that Marlons (goes by Heavybows) has an exercise bow that is 250#. I beleive its hickory and looks like a 2x4.
I think hickory will do it if its good qulity dense stuff. Make it long and keep it more square in cross section to minimize set.
