Title: hollow belly?
Post by: bowmunky13 on August 16, 2008, 11:07:01 pm
was wondering what kind f performance you would get if you built a bow with a concave belly ... at least for the first one third from the handle out? like maybe having one growth ring on the belly then start tapering it out... anyone want to venture this with me or am i just dreaming?

I doubt it would work very well.  Look at how a measuring tape is made, concave on one side, convex on the other.  It would make for a stiffer lighter weight  limb if it was concave on the back and convex on the belly.   Just my thoughts on the matter.   Saw Filer
