Just wanted to see if any of you were going to make it this year to hawkeye's fall shoot. I know Chad Slagle (aka the singing bowyer) will be there to perform, and Gary Davis is usualy there teaching people how to make there first selfbow. ;D
Hope to see some of you there. I'll be there all day saturday. Here's a link with some info on the shoot.

It was a great time as usual! Glenn, Chuck and the rest of the hawkeye crew really know how to show everyone a good time. I had fun hanging out with Chad again, and hearing him sing some songs off his new album.

Glenn did a excellent job on the shoot. We probably had 40
people helping out at one time or another. Chad stopped
by our camp Saturday night. I hoped he made his flight back home.

Pretty sure he did Chuck, I talked to him once on here since then..... ;D
Did ya'll have a hard time keeping John under control ? :o ;D
-
I don't think there is anybody that can kept John under control.
Maybe Pappy can when we go to LBL.

John's actually starting to grow on me, believe it or not.....lol.
Once you get used to his loud mouth, he ain't that bad..... ;D
-
That's just the way I feel Ryan,he is like a tick once he gets settled in you kind of get use to it. ;D ;D

I definitley had a good time! Made it home without a hitch, too... Always good to to see everyone again. I hope to see several of ya again at LBL.
Personally, I like John. Wait til you guys hear his spring turkey story... :o Scariest part, it is TRUE!!
I got to shoot 2 courses---once with a sinew-backed bow Gary made, and once with one of Ryano's selfbows. Their bows are too nice---no stacking, so it took a while to get use to them. It is a lot easier to find the sweet spot in my imperfectly made bows... ;D
Glen and the crew put on a great shoot. I hope I can make it up there again!
