Title: A few more Points

Here are 2 more Agate Points. These are from slabs but the slaps were large and funkie shaped i got about 1 1/2 hrs in each point.

Here is a point i did out of Carter Cave Chert, i really like this point it has some cool color. This point was bifaced from a spall.

Here is a Obsidian knife i knapped from a slab, this point is papper thin.

OK i Finlay got the balls to notch the large point i posted yesterday, I'm really pleased with it.
 I am just learning how to punch out my notches.

Man those are really nice.  Your flake scars are absolutely perfect.  Mine look like they've been beat on from all angles.   :'(

Jesse, man - your doing some really beautiful work! Your flaking is really refined, w/thickness ratio looks to be around 5 or 6 to 1, and perfect symmetry - and oh yeah, those notches and bases. Wow!!

its really hard to imagine how well you and some of these other folks can knapp.  i can make points and blades and get them sharp, but you get these things so perfect i couldnt ever imagine getting to that stage.  great great work- Ryan

How do you do it?  On the first two point pictures, how do you get the flake pattern so narrow and to travel across like that.  All I get is sort of a pear shaped flake removal.  Mine will always be much wider at the release than at the bulb of percussion.  What can or how can I get flakes to travel like that?
