Title: Maple Backed ERC fulldraw
Post by: grantmac on June 29, 2008, 08:11:51 pm
For those who haven't seen it in the Build-along section here is the full-draw for my Maple backed ERC warbow. It just meets the lower end of the warbow requirements of 83@31" but I figured it would be a good stepping stone. I am really pleased with this wood combination as well, it feels very light in the hand. That is also the first arrow I've made, used a 3/8 maple dowel.

Thanks for all the help!

Grant, the tiller looks good. That ought to be a good combo.      Pat

Thanks for the replys guys!
This has been a fun bow to make and I really like this wood combination, it's so easy to work and smells wonderful. My only complaint is that it dings easily but that will train me for when I've make a Yew selfbow 8)
Next project will try for 95#@32" and be long enough to pike it up to 105#@32" so I'm not constantly making bows when I want to up weight. I'm hoping to be shooting 110+ by this time next year.
       Cheers,
