I had the opportunity last week to drive out to the Savannah river and visit Mullet at his home.
Both he and Kathy were very welcoming and made me feel right at home during my visit. Ed showed me around his woods and his shop, I got to look at and talk about many of his bows (he has a sizeable collection!), and we did a little shooting too.
They did not let me leave without a box full of home-canned goods and a couple of nice Osage staves! I'm really excited to work them, they will be my first experience with Osage orange. I'll be sending a couple of nice HHB staves down here when I get back to Vermont.
I feel really luck I had this opportunity to visit this bowyer, craftsman, lifelong hunter and homesteader. It was great to hear stories, share food, and oogle at bows.
Thank you Ed! I hope to visit again!

I haven’t met Eddie in person yet. Have talked and text , but one of the guys I would like to meet.
It is always so nice to meet others who share our rare interests. There’s just not that many people who really understand us.lol

Hahaha! Yeah it was a trip, really good folks. I forgot to mention the turkey calls he makes though It's my impression people know already. I'll just say they look and sound incredible!

I visited Eddie and Kathy about a year or so ago at their new homestead. I've known them for years. Always a good time and both are great folks and hosts. They have done a lot with their new place.

It's the good men that recognize that fact and act accordingly! And how is that lovely bride of yours doing these days? Please give her my love and tell her I am so pleased to know she's still riding herd on you and keeping your feet on the straight and narrow.
