Here's a maple board bow that I just finished. It's 63" ntn, 1 1/2" wide at the "fades", tapering to 1/2" nocks, trapped back. Draw weight is 50# @ 28"; cast seems about average. She started life a 68" stiff handle bow. Somewhere along the line, the glued on handle riser popped off. I never got around to putting it back on. So, I just piked it 4" and left the "handle" the way it was(7/8" x 3/4"). After tillering was done I built up the handle with several layers of cork. You can't really see it in the pics, but the grain has some minor tiger striping to it. Also, she has about 1" of string follow so far.

Good lookin bow!
-
looks great! the arc is perfect...but you say the cast is only average?
-
Nice job, good looking bow, what kind of maple was it?
-
It's from a flat ringed Home Depot hard maple board. When I say the cast is average, I mean average for my bows. I don't have anyone else's to compare them to.

Outstanding. I just love that style of little round flatbow. Great job. Great bow.

Great tiller! Well done. Jawge

Looks good, very striking coloring on the handle. Justin

Looks darn good. jcougar has been around for awhile. I've got pictures of him on my computer at a younger age. Same great talent, though. And bookmarked for May Self BOM, for sure.

Awesome tiller and love the simple but elegant look! Nice job!!!
I especially liked the autograph; looks like it should have been on a custom electric guitar!

Thanks! I am really proud of this one. This will most likely be the bow that goes to the woods with me this fall.

Great looking bow.

As always, very nice bow. Pat

Cool. I like your attitude about not putting the handle piece back on.

It sat in my shop for quite a while like that(no riser). One day I just thought, "why not? what's the worst that could happen-it breaks?" But anyway, thanks for the compliments, guys.

That's a nice, simple bow. In a good way, as those kinds are my favorites. ;D
