Title: a cherished gift
Post by: Pat B on April 07, 2023, 10:44:08 am
While I was working on Elg Bue, my sinew backed bow of ancient Danish design, Brad Smith contacted me about my project and cheered me on and encouraged me with this build. Brad mentioned he would be building a short, osage recurve he planned to sinew back so I sent Brad a few of the Norwegian moose tendons for his bow. A few days later I received this incredible sketch and watercolor depiction of an iconic picture of Ishi. Marcia framed it up for me so I thought I'd share Brads work with the PA family.
Thanks, Brad. This is now a cherished part of my primitive archery collection.  8)  Sorry for the glarey picture.

Thanks, guys. I am very pleased with this sketch from Brad. I didn't realize he was an artist and gallery owner until we started communicating.

Brad is an artist. I'd say you made out pretty good on that, Pat.
