Title: 1st Robin Hood
Post by: Red Dwarf on May 18, 2008, 01:49:09 am
After not being able to shoot all winter due to back problems I built myself a lighter hickory board bow (38# @ 26") and managed to put a few arrows through it this evening. Look what happened at 20yd.....my 1st ever!!

The lay off must have done some good. Maybe I just forgot a few bad habits.

Just had to share this with you guys; please excuse the indulgence.

wow :o nice shot. & I agree, that background is awsome!  You could hunt ducks there in your backyard I bet.  Nice.

Thanks guys

Not sure about the ducks but the Canada geese look pretty inviting sometimes!

Although I was delighted at the shot there was a tinge of dissapointment too... a lot of work went into those homemade cedar shafts & home cut fletchings.

Gorgeous Hickory and the lake in the background made for very nice full draw. We'll look at this fine bow later this month for May Self Bow of the Month.

I had my first robin hood the other day too, not too happy about it. broke my black walnut reinforced self-nock in the process >:(

I agree with the others, nice bow and scenery!
