hello my name is dai zhi gang, im not good english. I use translation.
I started my self-study in archery making in 2016. I read a lot of works of predecessors from the Internet. Thank you predecessors for their selfless dedication, allowing me to continuously improve my production skills. There are not many selfbow bow producers in China. I was the first batch to start making selfbows. This craft has been lost in China. There is no teacher to teach me, so I can only learn by myself. After getting to know Liye in 2018, we have a lot in common and i am very good friend with Liye. I also Like difficult materials. i gain experience in my past archery bow making failures. The road of groping by myself is very difficult. But im happy to know this web page. Now liye and me are partners, making bamboo and wood bows together. In the future, if there are better bows, i will continue to issue them. this archery bow is 70 pounds draw.
Finally, thank you all for your support to my bows.
Nice to meet you.
thank you

Beautiful job!
-
Gorgeous work. Great bend on that unruly stave!
-
Wow I am amazed. That thing is a work of art and skill
-
It took alot of skill and no small amount of confidence to make a bow from such an unpromising stave. Your hand work is outstanding, especially the nocks.
-
It looks very nice!
-
Welcome, and congratulations on a very nice bow.
-
That looks like a beauty :)
The only thing I would say is be careful cutting arrow shelves into wood bows like that. The arrow shelf is a stress riser = the shape concentrates stress in the angle. On modern bows I beams are added to the riser to allow shelves to be cut, either that or the bow needs to be thicker where the widow is. I only mention it because I've seen wood bows fail at the shelf and it is an easy mistake to avoid :)

Such a sweet bow to look at. I'm sure it performs really good too. You've got some talents mate.

oh brother.. that is a great job.. balls as big as church bells to cut a shelf that deep on a stave of that poundage and undulations ... incredible job... congrats on that one.. gut

Very nice "heavish" bow from a challenging stave!
