Title: Static Recurve Tip Starting Width?
Post by: mmattockx on November 30, 2021, 12:50:32 am
How wide should the recurves start out to allow for string alignment adjustments while tillering? This is my first recurve so it is all a guess for me at this point. Bow length will be 66" NTN (along the back), recurves are not crazy big with a 5" radius and the nocks 3" ahead of the handle. Is 3/4" enough or should I leave it closer to 7/8" to start?

Thanks,
Mark

I go 3/4". Reduce once it is braced. Good luck.
