I have Pyramid bows, Sudbury, Mollegabit but several of the bows I’ve made are flat bows, parallel sides to mid limb then taper to the nocks
What is the name of this type of bow?

Mmm, American Flat bow?

A semi-pyramid goes parallel for a while before a straight taper to the tips.

Thanks. That’s about what I do

It’s a good design but you an also control the bend with the thickness in the limbs . I sometimes do this to help prevent set, strengthen outer tips with less mass and on and on. Depending where you are at in designing bows. Arvin

Paul Comstock's version of the ancient Meare Heath/Holmgard bows? :BB. Good bows?
