For those of you watching the wildfire situation:
The Dixie Fire is now over 400,000 acres with multiple active locations.
My hometown of Greenville, CA was in its path
Town is gone now. All but the high school area and some other homes and Dollar General remain.
My dads place is about a mile out of town.
Last I heard it was still standing.
Waiting to find out is really hard.

I was born there, raised there, graduated HS there.
It will always be home.
Not sure how long it will be before it resembles anything of the town it once was.
The next tiny town about ten miles away also burned to the ground.
It was called Canyon Dam - there is footage from here too....

Jesus brother. I am very sorry to hear this. I am happy you are safe and am sorry for the struggle you are going through and that which is ahead.

So sorry for your loss, Ben. I can't imagine what you are going through. What I've seen of these fires is truly incredible.
