Any knapping rock to be found in or around Plano, Texas.
-
Hey, PLAIN O TEXAS! Sorry, had to say it. I lived there as a youngster. No idea on the rock.

Drive around a little in the areas where new hotels, restaurants, and such have gone up. Look at the landscaping stone. If there's flint in it, the landscape supply yards will have it.
If it's free to pick up on the side of the road, it will be gone before you get there if anyone gives you an exact location.

So Rocky from the Ft Worth area gets ahold of me and says his old neighbor left a bunch of knapping rock in his back yard when he moved out of state and that I could have it. So me and my girl drive over and find 15 5 gallon buckets of knapping rock and says, it's yours. Lots of good knapping rock including Biggs Jasper or it's cousin Deschutes Jasper, hard for me to tell the difference. Anyway I know the value of Biggs not only to knappers but cabbers so I made the deal real fair with Rocky. There are some really generous folks in the USA and Rocky was one of them. Thanks to all for any info sent on here and in PM's.
Special Note: Any of you need Lake Michigan beach sand I can help you out, LOL

I am told I may have Tiger chert and not Biggs. I checked the last two buckets of rock and it is solid artifacts. Broken points and large pre - forms.

That’s pretty cool Jon. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. If you need to trade some Lake Huron beach sand I can help you out.
