Yeah... this is my first bopper... It’s time to replace it! If you can’t tell I really procrastinate when it comes to getting new tools... it lasted me 3 years

Russell,wrap it with sinew ..i don't think a band aid is gonna fix that one..LOL.. it looks like you are using it for spalling big hard rock.. LOL.. neolithics sells them for 3 a piece... very nice boppers too... I think you need a bigger bopper lol.....gut

Try this for a bopper. Go down to the hardware store and buy a 4-1/2" x 3/4" steel pipe nipple and cap. Grind down the nubs at the upper end of the cap.

I have put too many band aids on this bopper lol! a screw, sinew, had to reglue the cap multiple times.... Lol! and yes... i did break it spalling big, hard rock. i dont know what the rock was but it definitely needed some heat treating
i might try that JC... looks like a solid bopper

find a hard and a soft hammerstone for spalling.. gut

Go with Patrick and Gutpile! Seal the old one in epoxy and mount it for your great grandkids! Btw, teach them how to knap and make bows! (Or we old farts will haunt you forever! :-K :KN (SH))
