Title: pretty neat hack
Post by: Eric Krewson on February 20, 2021, 01:39:16 pm
I was watching a bow building video on youtube, the guy used a neat trick to make a drawknife for ring chasing. He used a large kitchen knife and put a pair of vice grips on the knife tip to act as a handle, this made a two handed tool.

Ha! That's cool! What a clever idea.

Anyone touch my chef's knife with this in mind better cough up $350 for the replacement.

When I first started I use a kitchen knife all the time, never thought about a handle.  :) I used a thinner blade, almost like a Filia knife, worked well.  :)
